VDOT construction plans add to problems: April 23, 2004

"News (and my heart) broke last week that the Virginia Department of Transportation plans to repave 60 miles of Interstate 64 over the next three years. That's right: as if your traffic woes weren't enough, machines will be tearing up Williamsburg's main lifeline between Jefferson Avenue in Newport News and Laburnum Avenue in Richmond. And no, they're not expanding it. They're just repaving it. That's all.

In other words, this means that everyone at the College will have to deal with this until the day they graduate. Even freshmen. If ever there were an incentive not to bring a car to campus, VDOT has provided it."
