Local college paper battles censorship: Oct. 31, 2003

"Censors have raided the Virginia Peninsula. The Oct. 23 issue of the Daily Press reports that the Hampton University administration seized 6,500 copies of the student-run newspaper because it did not comply with the administration's request to print a letter from the acting president on the front page. Now, I realize the mascot of HU is the Pirates, but I was surprised to find that piracy involves stealing from yourself."
